Casey was born in Texas and grew up near the small town of Dawson, Texas on a cattle ranch owned and operated by his family for more than a century. He attended Dawson ISD for primary and secondary school and graduated from Dawson High School in 2002 as Valedictorian of his class. Casey moved to Waco, Texas in 2002 to attend Baylor University. During his years at Baylor, Casey achieved recognition on the Dean’s Academic Honor List every semester he attended and earned Magna Cum Laude honors. He was inducted to the Beta Gamma Sigma business school honor society in 2005 for ranking among the top 7% of students in his class and received the Outstanding Student in Financial Services and Planning award in 2006 for recognition as the top student in his major. Casey graduated from Baylor University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a major in Financial Services and Planning.
Casey moved to Austin, Texas in 2006 to begin working as a financial planner at FMP Wealth Advisers. He passed the Series 65 Uniform Investment Advisor Law Exam in 2006 to qualify as a registered investment adviser representative. Casey passed the Certified Financial Planner™ exam in 2008 and fulfilled the remaining certification requirements in 2009 to become a CFP® professional. Casey achieved an A grade in the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠ program as he attained the CRPC® designation in 2013. As part of maintaining his CFP® certification and CRPC® designation, Casey completes over 30 hours of continuing education every two years on topics of personal finance and retirement planning. Casey has prepared hundreds of financial plans and developed expertise in multiple areas of personal finance during his years at FMP. Casey currently serves as the Director of Financial Planning at FMP where he connects the dots in client’s financial lives to help them pursue and achieve their financial goals.
