Born in Houston and raised in San Antonio, Adam had his first contact with financial services as a child, when he participated in the test marketing of an innovative children’s product, ParentBanc, a checkbook designed for children to use with their parents’ guidance. That experience, which helped him understand the value of saving and financial responsibility, left an indelible impression.
At Baylor University, Adam’s desire to share valuable money lessons with adults steered him to the business school. Majoring in financial services, he graduated in I991 with a bachelor of business administration degree.
Adam and his wife Jessica moved to Austin in 1997 to join FMP. As financial consultant, Adam helps individuals, families, and businesses plan their financial futures. In July 1998, Adam passed the comprehensive exam for the Certified Financial Planner™ certification and fulfilled the other requirements to earn the CFP® marks in June 2000.
The Todds welcomed the birth of their son Colby in August 2001 and their daughter Addison in March 2004. They brought their third child, Jonathan Tariku into their family in 2011. Adam and Jessica consider their membership and service to their church as their most important time commitment. Adam has served on several church committees and is currently an usher and leads a men’s Bible study class. Outside of his family and career, Adam enjoys hunting and fishing.
