Casey was born December 13, 1983 in Huntsville, Texas and grew up in Dawson, Texas. He attended Dawson ISD for primary and secondary school and graduated from Dawson High School in 2002 as Valedictorian of his class. Casey moved to Waco, Texas in 2002 to attend Baylor University. Casey earned Magna Cum Laude honors at Baylor and graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a major in Financial Services and Planning. Casey was recognized on the Dean’s Academic Honor List every semester while at Baylor. He was inducted to the Beta Gamma Sigma business school honor society in 2005 and received the Outstanding Student in Financial Services and Planning award in 2006 for recognition as the top student in his major.
Casey moved to Austin, Texas in 2006 and joined FMP as a financial planner. He passed the Series 65 Uniform Investment Advisor Law Exam in 2006 to qualify as a registered investment advisor representative. Casey passed the Certified Financial Planner™ exam in 2008 and completed the remaining certification requirements in 2009 to become a CFP® professional. As part of maintaining his CFP® certification, Casey completes at least 30 hours of CFP Board approved continuing education every two years. Casey joined the Financial Planning Association in 2010 and is affiliated with the local FPA Austin chapter where he attends monthly educational meetings and networks with other professionals. During his time at FMP, Casey has worked primarily in the financial planning department, and in 2012, he was promoted to the position of Director of Financial Planning. Seeking to further his knowledge in financial planning, Casey completed the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠ program in 2013 and obtained the CRPC® designation. As part of maintaining the CRPC® designation, he completes at least 16 hours of continuing education every two years. Casey was recognized for his work in 2013 when he was honored with the 2013 Five Star Wealth Manager award. Fewer than four percent of wealth managers in the Austin area received this award. Casey attributes his professional success to a sincere enjoyment of working with the team at FMP and with clients to help them evaluate personal finance matters and develop financial plans.
