Born a third-generation Austinite, Christian has loved saving money since he opened his first bank account at age 8. And when he first got hold of a financial calculator and saw how investing $100 at age 14 could turn into almost $24,000 by retirement, the awe and wonder of finance began! He starting working as a bank teller at the very bank he opened his account at while attending Lake Travis High School and kept the job while he studied Finance at St. Edward’s University.
Over the next ten years Christian married his high school sweetheart Stephanie and together they are raising two wonderful kids — Cassidy and Aaron. Christian loves being a dad in teaching his kids self-reliance and taking them on adventures from the mountains of Colorado and Utah to the Apollo rocket hangers at NASA in Florida. He also loves having a cold beer and chicken-fried steak in Fredericksburg after a morning of family hiking up to the top of Enchanted Rock — “the perfect day trip!” he calls it.
