Originally from central Louisiana, Lawrence graduated from Roanoke College in Salem, VA. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance, and was awarded the Outstanding Business Student designation of his graduating class. After school, he started his career in commercial banking, helping to manage commercial loan portfolios. He later went on to serve as the CFO for a promotional products company in New York. While there he married his wife, Jeanne and in 2005, and they settled in the Florida panhandle where he spent the next chapter of his career in commercial real estate development. He served many roles including Chief Investment Officer, Corporate Controller, and VP, Treasurer while there. In the summer of 2020, they moved their family to Austin, Texas. Lawrence joined the FMP team in 2021 and serves as the Operations and Compliance Director.
Outside of work Lawrence enjoys playing guitar, hiking/biking, golf and spending time with his family. An interesting tidbit is he once spent eighteen months travelling the country looking for a place to live! He and his wife have three daughters Grace, Josephine, and Palmer.
