I’m Chris Hehman, born and raised in Austin, Texas. Recently, I married my beautiful wife, Julia, and we’re thrilled to plant roots in this vibrant city as we look forward to starting a family one day.
As the oldest of three siblings, I’ve always embraced the privilege of leading by example and cheering them on. My parents instilled in me the value of financial stewardship through a biblical lens, teaching early on how money can be a tool for generosity and saving for future needs.
In high school, I discovered a passion for personal finance beyond the “money scripts” I grew up with. Through finance-focused electives, I realized I was called to help people achieve financial peace and optimize their money. That realization led me to Texas Tech University, where I earned a degree in Personal Financial Planning. During college, I served on multiple financial organizations, volunteered in the community, and provided financial coaching to those in need. After graduation, I passed the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ exam.
My career began at Dimensional Fund Advisors, one of the world’s largest global asset managers. After 14 months, an answered prayer led me to FMP Wealth Advisers, where I’m committed to building enduring relationships and helping families achieve their financial dreams.
Outside of work, I love playing sports, exploring God’s creation, and learning something new. I’m an active member of Red Rocks Church, where I serve in kids’ ministry and lead Financial Peace University in the spring.
