I’m Zach Pendleton and I’ve been at FMP since 2020. I am married to my wonderful wife Hannah. Our beautiful daughter Emma was born in 2024, and we have a baby boy due in 2025!
I love numbers and investments. Not because I am good at math, but because they tell a story about someone’s life, about the things they find most valuable and fulfilling. Important financial decisions bring up lots of emotions. Navigating those decisions on your own can be full of stress and anxiety, lack of confidence, and even fear. I love to make complex topics seem easy to understand, and to bring confidence and clarity in the midst of any decision or life transition. As part of my dedication to our clients, I became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
I love my work, but there are many things I enjoy outside of my job too. There was a world before FMP where I thought I wanted to manage a hunting ranch. I love to hunt and fish, to be in God’s creation away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I also love to exercise and smoke barbeque. Those don’t always go together, but I do one so I can do more of the other! I run a half marathon every January, but I still wouldn’t consider myself a runner. I love to read too. I try and rotate between books about adventures like “Lonesome Dove,” business books, and spiritual books.
I attended Abilene Christian University in West Texas, graduating with a degree in Financial Management. ACU has a special place in my heart. It is where I met my wife, built lifelong friendships, and finally learned I was made to be a financial advisor not a ranch hand.
Above all this is my faith. As a Christian, I believe in the finished work of Jesus for all who believe in him. His grace is sufficient, and I’m reminded every day of his never-ending love. Our family is actively engaged with The Austin Stone church.
